Referee Fires Gun During Soccer Game After Fight Breaks Out Over Red Card
During a football match within us, the referee lost his temper and fired a pistol after a bitter argument with a player. According to the newsweek, the incident happened during a match played at the Pallas Valley Sports Complex within the US state of Oklahoma.
During the sport, the referee showed a red card to a player on which the player started arguing with the referee and both of them started having bitter words.
For some time the referee and therefore the players kept cursing one another then the referee got angry and ran out of the bottom towards his car and took out the pistol kept in it.
Police said referee Davi Bathez pulled a gun and issued a red card to at least one of the players as a result of an altercation on the sector.
The confrontation started as a little skirmish then Bathez approached his truck and pulled out his gun, firing one shot at the player and therefore the crowd. nobody was injured.
Bathez got into his truck and sped off after being shot.
He said officers apprehended him a couple of moments later and recovered a .380 caliber pistol from his truck.
Bathez faces charges of pointing a firearm.
