The Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is set to commence on 10th February which would be the 8th edition. The tournament is expected to be a fascinating one as this is the first time South Africa is going to host the T20 WC where we can expect even contest between bat & ball.

After the inaugural 2009 T20 WC, England Women have not won the championship. England is one of the most consistent teams in the history of the T20 WC. England hasn’t been able to win key moments of the match which has spoiled all the hard work.

Danni Wyatt on T20 WC Preparations

Danni Wyatt was asked about the team and it’s preparations. “We’ve had a fantastic tour over in the Caribbean.  [Jon Lewis] is trying to install into our heads to always take the positive option in whatever we do, and it’ll give us the best chance of beating anyone. We’ve got to have our plans in place, take each game as it comes, be calm and relaxed.” said Danni Wyatt.

“In World Cups, people can get a bit nervous. I’ve got the experience now of knowing how things chance in World Cups compared to a normal international game, it is different, it’s really weird. It’s all about, you know mentally you can do it, but if we stay together as a team and back each other and have fun, we’ll end up with a good chance.” she added.
