NFL odds, picks, lines, spreads for 2022 AFC, NFC Championship Games: Model loving under in Chiefs-Bengals

Just two games remain before the 2022 Super Bowl, and three teams playing in Sunday’s conference championship games have an appearance in the big game within the last three years. In its latest NFL odds, Caesars Sportsbook lists the Rams as likely to make it back this year as 3.5-point favorites over the 49ers in Sunday’s 2022 NFC Championship Game. The 49ers beat the Rams twice already this year and Los Angeles hasn’t defeated San Francisco since the final week of the 2018-19 season.

In two games played this season, the Niners emerged victorious over L.A., 31-10 and 27-24. Can San Francisco cover one of the tightest NFL spreads of the 2022 NFL playoffs? All of the championship round NFL lines are listed below and SportsLine’s advanced computer model has all the NFL betting advice and predictions you need to make the best NFL picks now.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up over $7,500 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. The model enters championship weekend in the 2021 NFL playoffs on an incredible 137-97 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. Amazingly, it hasn’t missed a top-rated pick since Week 14 of the regular season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest championship round 2022 NFL odds and locked in picks for every NFL matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top championship round NFL predictions

One of the model’s strongest Conference Championship NFL picks is that Chiefs vs. Bengals in the AFC Championship Game 2022 goes under the point-total of 54.5. Both of Kansas City’s playoff games finished over their projected totals, but Cincinnati’s have finished under. Including the postseason, Cincinnati games have finished under the total in five of its last seven contests.

Kansas City has gone over in its last seven games, but the Chiefs will be the home team in front of a raucous crowd and have far more playoff experience than the upstart Bengals. The Chiefs’ offense didn’t turn the ball over last weekend against Buffalo, but gave it away twice in the wild card matchup against Pittsburgh. Cincinnati’s defense has forced seven turnovers in three games going back to Week 18 against Cleveland.

The SportsLine model predicts quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes will combine for nearly 575 passing yards in the game. However, with turnovers sprinkled in, the yardage won’t necessarily produce the scoring needed to get past 54.5 points, so the under hits in nearly 60 percent of simulations.

How to make championship round NFL picks

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other game on the championship round NFL schedule. It also says one team wins on the money line much more often than their odds imply, potentially setting up a healthy payday. You can only get every pick for every game at SportsLine.
