India Head Coach Rahul Dravid‘s son Anvay Dravid is named the skipper of the Karnataka U-14 Cricket Team. Anvay Dravid is set to lead the team for the inter-zonal tournament ( South Zone). Anvay has been a consistent performer for his team over the last couple of years.
Anvay is a wicketkeeper batter for his team. During 2020, Anvay smashed a terrific half-century in the semi-final of the BTR Shield Under-14 Group I. The batter missed out on a century by just 10 runs but showed great mental application.
Anvay Dravid on a Rise
Anvay Dravid just like his elder brother Samit Dravid has been a force to reckon with. Samit Dravid has represented his state team and has scored two double tons during U-14. Anvay Dravid will have a stiff task on his hand as the burden of captaining the side can affect his natural game.
Rahul Dravid an Asset
Head Coach Rahul Dravid has been quite instrumental in the recent times where India defeated Sri Lanka in both the white ball leg series. In the 1st ODI, against New Zealand, the Men in Blue showed great mental application and didn’t panic even when New Zealand were on the brink of pulling off a heist where Michael Bracewell was quite ruthless.
Rahul Dravid would be well aware of the fact that New Zealand would be well prepared for the 2nd ODI as we can expect a terrific match. Dravid has played an invaluable role in developing players in the NCA, U-19 & India A in the form of Shubman Gill & Mohammed Siraj as the duo were quite brilliant against the mighty Kiwis.
