Shami delivered a Player of the Match performance in the match and finished his 6-over spell with the figures of 3/18. Also, Siraj had the figures of 1/10 after 6 overs.

In a video shared on his official YouTube channel, Butt reserved high praise for Siraj and Shami. He hailed Siraj for consistently getting breakthroughs in the first powerplay and said that he is impactful on all types of pitches. He further praised Shami and said that the right-arm pacer becomes unplayed when the surface offers support to fast bowlers.

“Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj used the new ball really well,” Butt said in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

“Siraj has looked effective on all kinds of pitches. He has picked up early wickets in almost every match lately.

“With some help on offer for the pacers, Shami is almost unplayable with the new ball. Batting against him becomes very tough when there is some movement.”

The 38-year-old further said that the India National Cricket Team earned a dominant win over the Kiwis at home in the second ODI to clinch the series. Butt added that India have been getting better despite making regular changes to the team.

“It was a completely dominant win for India. They have a winning streak in ODI bilateral series at home. Their cricket has gone better and better, despite the fact that they have made a lot of changes to their team. We have seen that a player has had to sit out even after hitting a double hundred. It shows you the kind of bench strength India have,” he stated.

Since the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019, India have been undefeated in the ODI series at home. They have defeated West Indies, Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
