Spain lifts national restrictions on stadium attendance

Spain has announced the lifting of restrictions on indoor and outdoor sports activities from October 1, after which spectators will be allowed to enter the stadiums, 80% indoors and 100% outdoor. Earlier, 40 to 40 per cent people were allowed to sit indoors and outdoors.

The Spanish government has allowed the new rules to apply from October 1 to 31. In Spain, 95.1% of the population over the age of 40 has received the first dose of the corona virus.

Even in a population of one lakh, the rate of cases has come down significantly. 76.9% of Spain’s population has received full vaccination. 74% of people between the ages of 30 and 39 have received both doses.

The provincial governments have responded positively to the government’s decision to reduce restrictions. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health, spectators will have to use hand gels and masks.
