“Too Good For This Planet’s Bowlers” – Suryakumar Yadav Leaves Twitter Amazed With His Unbelievable Hundred vs Sri Lanka In Rajkot

[ad_1]
The 32-year-old India National Cricket Team middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav showcased unreal hitting and played a magical knock in the series decider 3rd T20I against the Dasun Shanaka-led Sri Lanka National Cricket Team at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Saturday, January 7.
Suryakumar Yadav came out to bat at No.4 after the dismissal of Rahul Tripathi, who played a fantastic cameo, in the 6th over. The No.1 T20I batter wasted little time to get going.

He played his natural aggressive brand of cricket and smashed the ball all around the park, destroying the bowling unit of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. Also, India’s Mr.360 played some of the most astonishing shots ever witnessed in T20 cricket during his extraordinary innings.
Suryakumar Yadav reached his half-century off 26 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes. He kept playing attacking cricket and notched up his third T20I century off 45 balls, including 6 fours and 8 sixes. The 32-year-old had registered his first T20I ton against England in Nottingham in July 2022 and his second T20I century against New Zealand in Mount Maunganui in November 2022.

With his century in the third T20I, which is unarguably one of the greatest T20I performances ever, Suryakumar became only the second Indian to hit 3 centuries in T20Is, only Rohit Sharma is above him with 4 T20I tons. Also, he became the first-ever non-opener to smash 3 T20I Centuries.
Suryakumar Yadav became the fastest ever to score 3 T20I centuries as he took just 43 innings and he also breached the 1500 T20I runs mark in just 843 balls and became the fastest to achieve the milestone.
Overall, Suryakumar Yadav smashed unbeaten 112 runs off 51 balls, including 7 fours and 9 sixes. He batted with an exceptional strike rate of 219.61. The 32-year-old helped India post 228/5 on the board in 20 overs.

Speaking to the host broadcaster after his extraordinary century against Sri Lanka, Suryakumar Yadav said that he is hopeful of continuing his red-hot form in 2023. He said:
“I’m really happy with the way the innings went. Captain winning the toss and batting first showed faith in the batters, few shots are pre-determined, but these are the shots I’ve been playing over the last year and I’m not doing anything different. The 2022 form is gone, it’s a fresh start in 2023 and I hope to continue doing well. It’s a good pitch, nice bounce and a lush outfield.”

Imagine Suryakumar Yadav debuted 6 years ago. Would he be as good or has a debut at age 30 worked in his favor?

I would simply refuse bowling to SKY at this point. This shouldn’t be allowed. How the hell does one average 45+ while striking at 180+ after 40+ T20Is?
— Sparsh Telang (@_cricketsparsh) January 7, 2023
Just privileged to watch SKY bat at his peak. This is atrocious stuff. Never been in disbelief seeing someone bat, sure there have been some shots in an innings which ll be unbelievable. But almost in every other innings, what SKY does here, has to be experienced. Freakish.

🤩 What did we just witness!
👏 SKY has put on one of the greatest T20I performances ever.
🙌 He becomes only the second Indian to hit 3 centuries in T20Is!
