Indian Cricket Team registered a thumping victory over New Zealand in the 3rd ODI. The Men in Blue won the match by 90 runs and with that they became the No,1 Ranked ODI Team. India bundled out Kiwis for 295 runs with more than 8 overs left in the match.
Skipper Rohit Sharma & Shubman Gill were in beast mode as both of them struck centuries. The duo where whacking the bowlers all around the park where skipper Tom Latham was clueless. New Zealand needed someone who could support Devon Conway as the batter scored 138 runs in 100 balls where he struck 12 fours and 8 sixes.
Shardul Thakur provided the major breakthroughs as at one stage it looked like New Zealand could run away with the game. Shardul took 3 wickets of Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham & Glenn Phillips. These 3 wickets proved to be the turning point of the match as the speedster gave away 45 runs in 6 overs and took 3 wickets.
Earlier while batting, Shardul Thakur formed a crucial partnership of 54 runs with Hardik Pandya where Shardul played a handy cameo of 25 runs in 17 balls where he smashed 3 fours and 1 six. It won’t be wrong to say that Shardul Thakur has fixed his place in the team as the pitch didn’t had any significant in it for bowlers.
